“I let it go. It’s like swimming against the current. It exhausts you. After a while, whoever you are, you just have to let go, and the river brings you home.” — Joanne Harris, Five Quarters of the Orange (via soglideaway)

Paris was the son of King Priam and Hecuba of Troy and brother of Trojan hero Hector. Because it was prophesied that he would cause the destruction of Troy, Paris was abandoned on Mt. Ida, but there he was raised by shepherds and loved by the nymph Oenone. Later he returned to Troy, where he was welcomed by Priam. Paris was chosen to settle a dispute among the goddesses Hera, Athena, and Aphrodite, all of whom claimed possession of the apple of discord, a golden fruit inscribed “to the fairest.” It had been thrown among the guests at the wedding of Peleus and Thetis by Eris, who sought revenge because she had not been invited. Hera tried to bribe Paris with royal greatness and riches, and Athena offered him success in war, but Paris awarded the apple to Aphrodite, who promised him Helen, the most beautiful of women. With Aphrodite’s help he abducted Helen from King Menelaus of Sparta; thus he brought on the Trojan War. In the war Paris killed Achilles with an arrow to his heel, but was himself fatally wounded by Philoctetes.

I just noticed how much you remind me of Talia.

Please promise me you’ll
burn the body after.

Don’t scatter the ashes. Keep it traditional, an urn on the mantelpiece.

Don’t tell her why there’s so much smoke. Don’t tell her some things just won’t fade away.

Please don’t forget which urn I’m in.

I hope you’re haunted by me.

I’d probably put Hoechlin as a wooly mammoth. I would put Posey as a jackrabbit. These are so off the cuff by the way! I’d put Dylan as like a flounder fish. He just reminds me of Flounder. I mean, these are just totally grab bag. What does Max remind me of? He reminds me of a deer I think. Like a really beautiful elk, because they’re very, just regal. Charlie, what does Charlie remind me of? Chipmunk. Sharman reminds me of a giraffe. He’s just too tall for his own good. Also I’m too short for my own good. Crystal would be a koala bear maybe.

“Don’t let people cast you as a side character. In your relationships, in your jobs, in your life. So many people will not be able to see your potential. […] They just don’t know you the way you know yourself, when you’re curled up under your comforter late at night, plotting how you will someday become the lead. Keep that person who is under the covers in the back of your head, always.” — Mindy Kaling (x)

I know I’m not a conventional beauty. You can read a lot of painful things on the Internet, which criticise you aesthetically - but as far as I’m concerned, that’s not what an actress is. — Natalie Dormer
